Enveliq

Checks before sending

When you press Send on a New email, Enveliq looks once at what you wrote, in your browser, and asks a calm question if something looks missed. It never stops you: you can always send.

What it checks

  • No subject. "This email has no subject."
  • A forgotten attachment. If your message says something is attached (words like attach, attached, attachment, enclosed) and no file is attached: "You mention an attachment, but nothing is attached." Lines that start with > (quoted text) are ignored.

What you see

A small window called Before you send, with the reason and two buttons:

  • Go back is the one that is ready when the window opens. It returns you to your email, with the cursor in the subject box. Pressing Escape does the same.
  • Send anyway sends the email as it is.

Nothing has been sent while the window is open.

Good to know

  • The check is done on the page, so nothing about your email is sent anywhere for it, and it works the same for every mailbox.
  • Replies are not checked. A reply takes its subject from the email you are answering, and replies cannot carry attachments.
  • It only looks for English words. If you write in another language, it will not notice a forgotten attachment.
  • There is no setting to turn it off, because it only ever asks once and you can always choose Send anyway.
