Enveliq

Undo for Reviewed, Archive and Bin

Every time you press Reviewed, Archive or Bin, Enveliq waits five seconds before it does anything to your mailbox. In those five seconds you can take it back.

What you will see

  • The email leaves your list straight away, so it feels instant.
  • A small bar appears at the bottom of the screen saying what you did, for example "Archived · Your flight check-in", with an Undo button and a thin line that shows the time running out.
  • Press Undo and the email comes back exactly where it was. Nothing was sent to your mailbox, so there is nothing to put right.
  • Do nothing and, when the line runs out, Enveliq marks it read, archives it or moves it to Bin in your real mailbox, as it always did.

Where it works

Everywhere you can use those three buttons: the buttons on a row, the buttons inside an opened email, the reading pane, the full-screen reader and the swipe actions on a phone, the keyboard shortcuts, and the Reviewed, Archive and Bin buttons that appear when you tick several emails. With several ticked, one bar covers all of them ("Archived · 3 emails") and one press of Undo brings them all back.

If you do two things quickly, the bar shows the newest one. Press Undo to take that one back, and the bar then shows the one before it, if its five seconds are not up yet.

If you close the page

If you close the page, go to another page of Enveliq or leave the app on a phone while something is waiting, Enveliq sends it straight away instead of losing it. If your computer or phone loses power or the browser crashes within those five seconds, the action is simply not done and the email is still in your mailbox.

What is not covered

Reviewed, Archive and Bin are the only actions that wait. Removing an email from a "kept for a few days" list, ticking a task as done, and sending a reply (which has its own Undo send, in Settings, My preferences) work as before.

If your mailbox cannot be reached when the five seconds are up, the email comes back into your list and a message says why, as before.
